You used to be so specific when it came to binkies. You would only take one specific kind. Then one day you decided as long as it is a binky I could care less about the brand. Today 11-18-16 I watched you running around the house with a binky in, and you ran over to the window seal. You saw another binky so you pulled the one you had out of your mouth and switched them. I love when you do things like that. It makes me so happy to see you have such a curious mind. I covered fro nursery in our new ward last week, and you loved it. You got a little snippy when it came to snacks, and I didn't give you the exact ones you wanted. I thought, he loves it down here, it is such a bummer that he has to wait 3 months to get down here. Then after church, they called Dad and I to be in the nursery. So we are really excited about it. We have big things coming up in this little family and it is going to be amazing! It will change pretty much everything and I hope it doesn't change anything about our relationship. You are a sweet boy. When you wake up you instantly kiss us, and then give a big hug. The other day it was so adorable, you pulled out your binky, kissed your dad, and then put your binky back in.

Greyson 14 months

Greyson 13 months

You discovered how to blow raspberries and you love to do it on my face. It is very slobbery and adorable! This month we went to Utah for a family to Olympic park with mommies family. We went to Park City and stayed in this really fancy house. When your Grandma, Alyse, the Wilsteads, you, and I were shopping for food for the weekend, we went to Costco and to Wal-mart. When we were leaving Wal-mart it started to rain HARD. We were just driving nice and slow and I looked behind me and saw a tornado. I just yelled to Aunt Alyse DRIVE. She went pretty fast! Then we had to pull over, because the hail and the storm was so bad. Aryelle called us and said that she watched an entire bush be pulled out of the ground in front of her. After we found out that a lot of homes had been destroyed, so we were lucky that nothing happened to us! We also went to Olympic Park where they train for the Winter Olympics. We also went and shopped at the Outlet malls, while Grandma and Grandpa watched ALL 10 grand-babies. They said I don't think we are going to do that again. We also took family pictures and they ended up really cute! You are really getting good at throwing tantrums. Then October we had a family reunion with the Blauer family. We went to upside down tumbling for an hour. You loved it there! The trampolines were your favorite part. You would barely even share with anyone. Then we went to the straw maze. There was a corn kernel pit that you and I had so much fun in. Then there was this big bouncy mt that we had trouble getting you off of. We went in the straw maze and got royally lost. Even the 3 of us got SUPER lost and couldn't find the family. Finally we got back together and had a guy help us out, but half of us got left behind. Then once the guy came back he finally led us out. Then when were going to get some pumpkins. We all loaded up on to the tractor pull, then the tractor crapped out. So we just went and ate at Shon Hings. It was a pretty fun reunion.

Maryland

This was quite the exciting trip for both of us. You had just turned one and had a big party with friends, and family. The next day we went to the airport and flew out to Maryland.

Greyson 1 year

 For your birthday we went to Grandma Wendy's house and had your party there. The Sam Peterson family was there, the Allreds, The Hutchinsons, both set of grandparents, and the Ludwigs came too. We had a superhero theme. We made all the kids capes and arm cuffs. We also played pin the bat symbol on Batman. We had some yummy cake. Your dad went to get pizza and a Mylar balloon filled before the party, but the dollar store wouldn't fill it up so you didn't get your balloon. :( We had tons of fruits and veggies. We all had a good time. In the other room, we got out grandma's pool and put the ball pit balls in it, and all the kids had fun in it. You were pretty cute opening your presents. You would get really excited, then I would show you a new one and you would get excited. You loved the cake. At your cake smash photo shoot you had no interest in the cake. I pretty much had to force you to eat it. But you must prefer yellow cake, because you scarfed that down. It was a fun party and I am so glad that I get to be your mom!

Greyson 52 weeks 8/18/16

So we are really just planning our trip to Maryland and also planning your birthday party. You are growing so fast. You still love going outside, through the doggy door. You show me that you are hungry by grabbing a handful of dog food. You still don't enjoy eating food. You still are drinking formula and only eating very rarely. You still like to babble and are not saying many words. I am super worried to fly with you. I feel so super worried every time I think about it, I go into full panic mode. Lucky your party is keeping me distracted.

Greyson 51 weeks 8/11/16

I cannot believe that you are almost one it is so crazy to think that it was almost a year ago that our life changed when you were born! We are getting ready to go to Maryland we are going the day after your birthday. You are starting to walk so much better. You are starting to throw pretty funny tantrums. You throw your body to the ground and it is adorable. Or you put your head down and cry.  The olympics started on the 5th so we watch them regularly they take up a lot of our nights. You will sometimes watch with us, but you really wish we wouldn't watch it. We went to Chipotle and discovered you LOVE guacamlole. You won't eat avocados plain they have to be made up into guacamole. 

Greyson 50 weeks 8/4/16

I kind of fell of the wagon writing these posts. Today I went to a seminar on photography in Twin Falls. So you spent the morning with Grandpa Nolan. Then when we arrived back in Pocatello we went to Pack Meeting. We have been going to book babies and family story time. You have really started to enjoy going to these. You have loved it before , but you have really started to love and interact. You are a little flirt and it is so adorable. You are sleeping better in your crib, we will see if you keep that up. We finally bought your bike trailer. I go biking once a day and you like it and hate it. You cannot really decide. You started following your daddy around like a tail it is adorable.

Greyson's 49 weeks 7/28/16

You poor little thing. You are teething so hard it is making you so miserable. You bit down on a bit of white foam and it was all bloody. So sad. You starting waving hello and goodbye on Wednesday!  It is cute because sometimes you use to hands and you are so bubbly and expressive when you do it! Now you almost have all 4 incisors. The front on is in along with the 2 sides, the other front tooth is not far behind. we finally got your baby bike trailer set-up. In 2 days we have been on 4 rides and you tolerate them. The first time you crashed, but you are starting to get more vocal and towards the end you are ready to be done.

Greyson's 48 week 7/21/16

This weekend you were babysat by Grandma and Grandpa P. Daddy and I went camping in Island Park. We had a great time, but we missed you. You had such a good time with them, they said you were a perfect angel. We are lucky though because you are taking Mirilax now so you are such a happy baby. On Wednesday Nikelle babysat you so that I could go to book club. She said you were such an awesome baby and didn't even cry once.

Greyson's 11 month 7/20/16

I cannot believe I have know you for 11 months. I am so in love with you little man. You are so handsome. You now have 2 teeth and you sometimes kind of vicious with them. You are walking with very, very little crawling. You run and it is adorable. Today you said a new word. You now say Ender and it is freaking adorable (but Ender is getting mad that I keep saying his name over and over in an attempt to get you to say it again) You still weigh 21 pounds. You are getting really tall, and you are in 12 months clothing. You have a fiery and busy personality. You love talking to strangers. When you see something that fascinates you, you go into a trance and it takes a while to bust you out of it. You are the cutest when you see someone you recognize. You make an adorable intake of air and start rocking back and forth. You are so friendly. You still love being outside and going through the back door. Now instead of using the doggy door, you throw open the back door. I have taken to locking it. I locked it once when you were outside and you lost it. I had to show you the doggy door, and then you remembered oh yeah I can use that. You are really starting to love food, with rice and oranges being your favorite (except nothing compares to dog food). You are growing to fast, but I really love the person you are growing into.

Greyson's 47 weeks 7/14/16

We went on Friday down to Burley for dad's family reunion. We had a good time. You got to see all of your Blauer cousins. You played in the water. It is surprising, because you are scared of water, but I guess not when your cousins are playing in it. You also wanted me to set you down in the pond, so I put you on a rock and let you splash for a bit. Then you helped Daddy and I play tether ball. You loved the "sand" gravel box they had. We gave you a Go-gurt and you made a HUGE mess. All in all it was pretty fun. We were exhausted by the time we got home, and daddy still had to drive to Utah, so that was pretty miserable for him.

Greyson 46 weeks 7/7/16

We went for the 4th weekend to hang out with our families. We went down on Saturday so that Grandma and Grandpa B and Brae could babysit you while we went on a date. We were getting ready to go to the movies and I felt your head and you were burning up. So we tried to get you some medicine, but it was the wrong kind and I was worried to leave you. Grandma told us just to take off for dinner and they would watch you for the time it took for dinner. So we went and got some Shon Hing. Then we went to the store and bought you medicine and bought some fruit. The teething is just really kicking your butt. Then Monday morning we went to the 4th of July parade in Rupert, you liked all the loud trucks, but did not like that you had to sit still with us. Then we went and hung out with and G Peterson. You feel on the piano and got 2 big lumps on your head. We went to your other Grandparents and hung out with Hunter. We had a yummy 4th dinner. It was an awesome time.

Greyson 45 weeks 6/30/16

On Tuesday the 28th you decided that it was time to start going down the backstairs on your own. We arrived home from errands and I had to run and go potty. I usually shut of the gate so you do not go outside, but I totally spaced. When I came out of the bathroom a few minutes later you were down the steps playing in the yard! I had no idea how you did it. Then Wednesday night I was eating dinner while you played on the porch. You just stand next to the railing and slowly put your foot down and freaking walk down the stairs. I hate it! It is terrifying. On Wednesday we went to family story time and they had a music class. You are such a boy! There were 3 girls and 2 boys (you included) that were all about the same age. The girls sat and did the activities nicely, where as the boys were always up and wanting to run around and go crazy! Daddy has been gone all week again. We did get to go play in the park with him on Saturday though. We tried out your new light up shoes for the 1st time and you hated them. You despise wearing shoes and I am trying so hard to get you to wear them. Once they are on, you just sit there rubbing them together back and forth trying to get them off. You have now decided that after only 2-4 days of real walking you are ready to run. It is wild and intense and it scares the living daylights out of me. You are such an explorer. When we were checking out at the supermarket, I put you down because you were freaking out. Then you tried to crawl under the cart and got stuck and the cashier had to lift the cart up while I pulled you out. People probably think I am the worst mom, thanks a bunch you busy, little, handsome, guy. Oh and now you decided that eating like a dog is fun. You will find something you want to eat so you lay on your belly and eat it like a dog. You are learning such bad habits.  Sometimes it feels like you are growing so fast and then you will stop and cuddle me and it makes it not feel as fast.

Greyson 44 Weeks 6/23/16

 We had a Family reunion with the Blauer side on the 18th. This was when I discovered why you had been so grumpy for daddy. We went to Indian Hot Springs. When we were in the water I lifted you in the air and as I looked up into your mouth it looked like you had teeth. So I brought you down and looked in and could see the outline of teeth on your upper gums. So when we arrived at the family reunion everyone wanted to start by going swimming. So we took and were getting dressed. We were in this little tiny box of a dressing room. We set you down for a second to get stuff out of the bag, and you crawled right underneath the door!  So e ended up not putting you down while we were in there. So I went and  bought you a little yellow float raft. You were in the pool with daddy while I blew it up. After having to go get a new one, because the one I had wasn't working I finally got in there and put you in. The second we set you down you started to fall asleep. So we took you out for a little bit to play, and I went and grabbed your hat. Then we put you in, put your hat on and you immediately feel asleep. You slept the whole time and once everyone was ready to get out, you woke up. Si while everyone was getting ready I let you go play in the shallow end. You slipped and got some water up your nose and in your throat, and then we were definitely down by then.  We went and ate. You met your dad's cousin, Michael, kids. All three of them are adopted as well. When Michael told this to his 6 year old, he grinned really big and he thought that was pretty cool.  Around the 18th or 19th one of your bottom teeth started to really come in.

Greyson 10 months 6/20/16

You are such a big boy. You have one tooth it is on the bottom left. You also have 6 top teeth trying to come in. It was all at the same time so it as pretty intense when it was happening. You were grumpy and very snotty. You started really walking every where you go very recently. I would say today or it was on the 21st or 22nd. The places you normally would crawl to, you just pick up and walk too. It is so awesome watching you walk. You are about 21.8 pounds. You are in 12 month clothes.

Greyson's 1st Father's day 6/19/16

So we woke up and made Daddy some pancakes. They were delicious. Then we hung out and went to to Brooklyn's playground. Then we came home and made him help me put your hand prints on some paper. We made him pizza for lunch. The hand prints were for the present that we gave him. It said, Best dad ever, hands down, and the hand prints were upside down. Then we just hung out and did some laundry, because he had to leave for a week for he Army. Then we made him Portobello mushroom burgers and carrot cake for dinner. It was a very yummy day, and I am getting hungry just talking about it. It was fun, and then he left and we missed him like crazy.

Greyson 43 weeks 6/16/16

Saturday the 11th we went to Katie Powell's baby shower. Daddy was at Drill so I took you with me. You are such a busy little dude. When they blew up balloons and put them in the circle where we were sitting and you went crazy. You would crawl into them and put your head down and push them around with your head. Then someone left a to-go cup on the ground and you grabbed the straw out, so I ran over and put it up. I apparently did not put it up high enough, because you found it again. Yucky. We hung around for a while, you tipped over some water, we played games and it was a pretty fun time. then on the night of the 15th I left to go to Ogden and left you alone with Daddy. He thought he would have better help if he went to Burley. So the two of you went to Burley together, and you were a wreck. The first night daddy tried to put you in the pack and play, but you would have none of that. So you slept in his arms. Then you were just fussy and needy the whole time you were there. You were also not warming up to Grandma Kerina, which was really weird. If dad left the room you would freak out, and scream cry. turns out you were teething. No wonder you were so grumpy. Every time I would Face time you, you would happy laugh so hard. You would sit and look at me laughing and stop doing whatever you were doing. It made my day !

We didn't really do anything, we mostly cleaned and cooked food all day.

Greyson 42 weeks 6/9/16

Today we went to Red Robin's "opening" with Nikelle and Shawn. They are getting ready to open so they gave people free meals so that the kitchen and the wait staff can get practice before they open. The food was yummy and you liked the french fries. You were not to happy to be sitting in the high chair, you just wanted to be held.  On Saturday June 4th we took you to the Zoo for the first time. There is an annual military appreciation day we go to, and it is at the Zoo. The 1st year they had it we took your sisters. You did not really care about the animals, but we let you out to dig fossils in the sand and you loved that. Then you drank a ton of water, it was a really hot day. We went down and looked at the bears, and I let you walk around and check it out.  You are not quite stable yet, but you can take a few steps and you are starting to really like walking.

Greyson 41 weeks 6/2/16

We went and saw both sets of grandparents on Saturday. Also the Barkers and the Allreds were there. You had so much fun with your cousins. You sat on Uncle Levi's lap with Kaysen and he laid his head down on you for cuddles. It was adorable. He also sat down on your lap like you were an adult. Then Hunter got there and you guys actually played really well together. Unfortunately you can't walk yet so you tried to keep up and you couldn't. You will be walking soon though. At Grandma Kerina's house you stood up from sitting. You have also taken a few steps.  Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa P's house. All the Peterson grand-kids were there. Then we just hung out and chatted. Then we went home. Daddy is finally home so we have been hanging out and having so much fun!

Greyson's 1st Memorial Day

Today we slept in. Then we woke up and played in the bed.  Then we had chocolate crepes. Then we walked to the Co-op with Andrea and Angelica. We ate some yummy plant-based food and then daddy had to come get you so that I could have my meeting we went there for. Then we ate some cheesecake with Daddy, Angelica, Adam and Daddy. Then we hung out for the rest of the day.

Greyson's 1st Armed Forces Day 5/22/16

Your daddy was gone to drill. So we celebrated by being alone without him :( That is okay, because we are okay to give our daddy up for the country.

Greyson 40 weeks 5/26/16

This week you are really starting to figure out standing.  You only us one hand when we help you walk. You still go out the stupid doggy door. It is driving me crazy. We are having so much fun, you are figuring out the silly things you like. You like to bite my nose, and have me shout "no, help!" You also like to yell in to your hand and pull it back and forth. I love watching you change and grow.

Greyson 9 months

You spent your whole 8 months without your daddy and now he is back, so I think 9 months will be much easier. You are 25 inches long and you weigh about 21 pounds. You are very analytical and you try do something every way you can imagine, and you don't stop until you figure it out. You are a very determined little boy! You learned to clap. You learned how to go out the doggy door, which has resulted you in taking a tumble down the concrete stairs. You have started taking interest in toys. You will actually (finally) sit and play with a toy for more than 5 seconds. The other day you played with your "tablet" for 25 minuted. I was in shock. You love eating "adult" food. You don't really care for pureed food. I gave you cashew ice cream the other day. You ate a good amount, and loved it. Then you told me when you were done by turning your head. You LOVE water, you drink so much. You also like to steal my water bottles out of my hands. You haven't quite figured out how to sleep through the night. You love to explore everything new that comes in your area, but you also know what you want, and you are determined to get to it. You love eating dog food, I would say it is your all-time favorite food. It keeps you regular so who am I to complain (oh wait I complain and tell you to stop like 100 times a day). You are growing up, and I love and hate it. You want to walk so badly, you can stand on your own for a few seconds at a time. One time you tried to follow me walking, and you just stood there crying trying to take the first step, but you couldn't manage it so I eventually had to come and pick you up.  You are my world little one! I do not know what I would do without you.

Greyson 39 weeks 5/19/16

You ate a breakfast that I just found things lying around the kitchen. Just some bananas and bread.  You drank like 3 oz of water.  Your daddy came home from training in Yakima, Washington and you were pretty excited to see him. You also decided to throw yourself down our 2-set concrete stairs. I cried for about 30 minutes and you cried for about 1. That was one of the hardest things that happened. Your beautiful face is so dinged up, and you rubbed off some of your precious, already super fine, not there, hair. I also accidentally ripped some off with the band-aid. It broke my heart you stinker bot.
